Overview

A checkout could complete with its shipping and tax recorded in no wallet. If the platform wallet could not be locked in time while an order's shipping and tax were being recorded, the purchase went through: the buyer was charged in full and that part of the total reached no wallet. Such a purchase now fails, nothing is charged, and the buyer can order again.

Requires Core v6.8.3. Do not install this release on an older Core: there, any error in the shipping and tax step fails the purchase.

A purchase fails when its shipping and tax cannot be recorded

• Changed a product order or cart checkout to fail whole, buyer's payment included, when recording its shipping and tax times out on a database lock, hits a deadlock or loses the connection. Before, it completed without that part and logged "Failed to record … of shipping/tax for order …".
• A purchase still completes without it when the step fails for another reason, such as an install with no Super Admin.
