Overview

A withdrawal approval could email the customer and then fail. If the database deadlocked while an approval's fee was being collected, the customer was emailed about the withdrawal, the approval then failed with an unrelated-looking database error, and the withdrawal stayed pending. No money was wrong. The approval now fails before the email, with the real error, and can be approved again.

Requires Core v6.8.3 for the fix to take effect. On an older Core nothing breaks; the approval behaves as before.

Withdrawal approval

• Fixed the customer being emailed about a withdrawal whose approval then failed on a deadlock during fee collection, leaving it pending. That approval now fails before anything is sent.
• The email is still sent before the approval is saved, so an approval that fails at the save for another reason can still have emailed the customer.
