Instant Convert v6.0.0

Release Date: September 28, 2026 Tags: NEW EXTENSION, TRADING, CONVERT, HEDGING, TREASURY, WITHDRAWALS, SECURITY

Overview

The first release of Instant Convert. Users swap one balance for another in one click, at a price held for a few seconds, with the fee shown on its own line. The platform is the other side of every convert, from a house account you fund, and earns a fee and a spread. Converts run on Spot balances, on single-chain pooled Ecosystem balances, and as Convert & Send, which pays the result on-chain to an address the user gives.

Everything that moves money on its own ships off: hedging, Convert & Send, house movements and the profit sweep. The extension itself is seeded disabled. Read Upgrade Notes before you switch any of them on.

Requires Bicrypto 6.8.2 or newer, the first core at Convert core level 3, and, for Ecosystem converts and Sends, Ecosystem 6.5.6 or newer.

Update Instructions

Activate the licence on the Instant Convert card in Admin → System → Extension Manager, install the release, then run:

pnpm updator

Switch the extension on, then follow the setup order in the install guide: settings, assets, floors, funding, a first convert on a small amount.

Highlights

A price that is real when it is promised, and still real when it is kept

Every convert is priced through USDT on your exchange provider's order books (one book when either side is USDT, two otherwise; an Ecosystem convert on an install with no provider uses two public venues instead), walked for the size, with each book's taker fee included: the route the hedge would trade. The quote is written to the database before the user sees it and is executed exactly as stored. Before it is offered, a second public venue must agree with the price; before it executes, the books are read again, and a quote that has become better for the user than the market by more than the drift limit is refused. Both limits are held below the spread, so every convert that executes is priced to earn something.

The house pays, and the totals do not move

A convert is double-entry against a system account, never a balance created from nothing. For every currency the total across all wallets is unchanged, so the pool-backing reconciliation sees nothing to explain, and the house appears on its own line there.

A recovery page that does not depend on the addon

The house's kill switches, its defund, and the resolution of any Send, hedge or movement left in review live on a core console that works while Instant Convert is disabled or unlicensed, behind a mandatory second factor.

Upgrade Notes

You are the counterparty to every convert

After a user converts BTC into ETH, the house holds more BTC and less ETH, and every price move until that is flattened is the house's profit or loss. The spread pays for that risk; hedging can remove most of it but is off by default and needs an exchange provider.

  • Size convertMaxUnhedgedUsd (default $25,000) for the position you are willing to carry unhedged. Converts that would take exposure past it are refused.
  • Start hedging in Monitor only for a day before Automatic, with a small convertMaxHedgeUsdPerOrder. There is no exchange sandbox.
  • Order adoption after an ambiguous exchange error works on KuCoin, Binance and OKX only. On other venues such an order goes to review and freezes its currency until someone checks.

Fund the house from outside the platform

Coins sent from your own master wallets are never credited, and coins withdrawn from your own exchange account show as exchange drift. Spot and single-chain pooled Ecosystem inventory can be funded from the Super Admin wallet with Fund; everything else only on-chain, to the house's own address.

Run a canary before relying on house movements

Whether a venue takes a pending withdrawal out of its account total at submission or at completion is assumed for Binance, KuCoin and OKX and not yet proven against live accounts. Run one small movement in each direction on each venue and watch the pool-backing reconciliation before larger ones.

Added

Converts for users

  • Added the Convert page under Trading → Convert, with Spot and Ecosystem balances, a quote held for convertQuoteTtlSeconds (default 10 seconds) with a countdown, the fee on its own line, the rate both ways, and a History tab.
  • Added sizing by either side: what the user gives, or what they receive.
  • Added Convert & Send: the house pays native EVM coins, SOL, SPL tokens, EVM tokens and TRC-20 tokens on the chain the user picks, from its own address, with the payout followed through Sending, Sent and Confirmed.
  • Added convert-and-withdraw: an Ecosystem convert into a single-chain pooled coin followed by an ordinary withdrawal, with every withdrawal precondition checked before the convert.
  • Added the optional two-factor requirement on balance converts, with a code delivery endpoint for email and SMS users. Sends always run the withdrawal two-factor policy.

Pricing and guards

  • Added pricing on the provider's books through USDT, with a taker fee for each book, a shared book cache that refuses anything older than three seconds, and Convert's own circuit breaker on exchange rate limits.
  • Added the reference venue check, the impact limit, the last look, and a two-venue pricing mode for Ecosystem converts on installs with no exchange provider, with a wider minimum spread.
  • Added per-convert, per-user daily, platform hourly and unhedged exposure limits, and per-asset limits and spread overrides that can only widen.

The console

  • Added Admin → Convert: a dashboard with alerts; Assets; Inventory with funding, defunding, floors, targets, the house's deposit addresses and a rescan; Orders with each quote's price inputs; Sends with an approval queue and a review queue; Hedges with exposure, a journal, a review queue and per-currency freeze controls; Movements; Profit & Loss; and Settings.
  • Added 18 permission keys. View and edit keys are granted from keys your roles already hold; the three keys that settle Sends, hedges and movements are granted to nobody until you choose.

Hedging and treasury

  • Added automatic hedging in Off, Monitor only and Automatic modes: exposure measured from balances, one market order per currency against USDT, a client order id written before sending, an error rule that never re-issues an order that may exist, fills booked once with the fee the venue actually charged, and freezes, auto-pauses and caps.
  • Added house movements between the exchange account and on-chain custody in both directions, planned from per-side bands and followed to arrival.
  • Added realised spread profit per currency and UTC day from FIFO cost lots, with the house's own costs and the master wallet's costs shown apart, and a sweep of profit to the Super Admin, with loss refill: automatic each day when switched on, and Sweep now at any time.
  • Added eight scheduled jobs. The four that finish work already started keep running while the addon is disabled or unlicensed.

Core

  • Added the Instant Convert house page, opened with House inventory on Finance → Transaction Management → Pool Backing: the house's balances and open work, its three kill switches, defund, and resolution of Sends, hedges and movements, all behind a mandatory second factor.
  • Added the CONVERT transaction type and the CONVERT and CONVERT_HEDGE profit types.
