Staking v6.2.8
Release Date: October 1, 2026 Tags: SETTLEMENT, REWARDS, ADMIN, PERFORMANCE
Overview
A position could close without its final reward. If the database deadlocked while a closing position's final reward was being recorded, the position could be completed and its principal returned without that reward. The whole settlement is now undone and run again.
The admin pool pages are also much faster on a pool with many positions and earnings. They could take up to two minutes to load and held up every other request while they did.
Requires Core v6.8.3. Do not install this release on an older Core: there, any failure of the final reward fails the settlement instead of returning the principal.
Update Instructions
pnpm updatorUpdate Core 6.8.3 first. No schema change, no seeder, no .env change.
Fixed
Settlement after a deadlock
- Fixed a position being completed and its principal returned after a deadlock had undone its final reward. The settlement now fails whole: the maturity job runs it again, and a withdrawal from the user or admin screen answers with an error and can be repeated.
- A final reward that fails for another reason is still skipped, logged as
Final reward accrual failed, and the position completes without it.
Admin pool pages stalled the backend
- Fixed the admin pool list, a pool's page and saving a pool reading each pool's positions, earnings, performance and durations in one combined query. On a busy pool that query returned hundreds of thousands of rows to show about a thousand, took up to two minutes, and held up every other request meanwhile. It got slower as earnings were added. Each list is now read on its own.
